Two Ethiopian scholars, Dr. Birhanemeskel Abebe Segni and Geletaw Zeleke, expressed their opinion on Waleleign Mekonnen's famous and controversial, "The question of nation nationalities in Ethiopia" article. Mekonnen wrote his controversial article on the 17th of November 1969 to provoke discussion on the question of nationalities.
